Dear Future Lover,
Let me tell you a little story. A story about how I have travailed through different types of love and experienced an array of different types of people. At this point, you should probably know by now anyway so maybe I should tell you what I want because I’m not sure I’d be able to say it in person.
It took me a while to know how I want to be loved but I think I’ve got it already. I want to be loved wholly and truthfully. I want the kind of love that makes people say ‘she’s glowing’. I want the kind of love that comforts in times of sorrow. You know that kind of love that feels like home? Yeah that’s the kind I want. I feel like I’m saying I want a lot so let’s change it to what I need.
I need you to love me more than you’ve ever loved before. I need you to hold me in a way nobody ever has and nobody ever will. I need you to love me as easily as you breathe and as hard as you work (because I know I can’t love a lazy bum). I need you to look at me and see a future. A very beautiful future that is full of love, life, bliss and a beautiful reality. Not the one found in books and my beloved k-dramas but the one that is filled with truth and real love.
I’ve been talking about what I want and need but let’s talk about what you definitely need and I what I come with. I come with peace of mind. I come with truth. I am going to be your companion and your best-friend. I am going to be your confidante and business partner if you somehow have a business. I’m going to be your playmate but also your work mate. Loneliness is not something that’s going to be in your dictionary with me. I will be your family, your best-friend, your spiritual partner, your safe space, your lover. I belong to you and you belong to me.
We’re going to love each other in a way that makes people say, “this is what love looks like” and “I want this kind of love” because you deserve to be loved wholly and truthfully and I deserve to just be loved.
