#TuesdayFlirtyTalks.

I walk downtown with a man who has kept my heart racing. He’s a sorcerer. I say this with confidence because these feelings are strange.

The strange thud of my heart, the way I’m caught off guard in nice ways with simple yet butterfly-raising words. I have never felt this way before.

Will is a sorcerer.

We were going to go on a coffee date, but the road was blocked and he had to walk with an umbrella in his hand, shielding me from the harsh rays of the sun, hoping the shop would be open.

And it was.

“It’s open,” Will says at the same time I think it, and smiles. Will smiles at me, and I tuck my braid behind my ear as his smile makes blood rush to my cheeks—like it’s his facial expression telling me he’s happy to be around me.

The cool air of the café hits my skin and I suck in a deep, gentle breath. The mixture of pastries, coffee, and oh, Will’s intoxicating scent. It is perfection.

There’s no one here, seeing that it’s almost noon. Most who came in took their coffee to go. I wanted it that way. I hated crowded places; Will did too. It was not our scene.

He opened a seat for me and went to get our orders. Other days we’d be having fun, but today we wanted to talk.

He brought back our order and I couldn’t help but comment on his coffee. “You could try something sweet for once, you know,” I tease.

“Well, I like my coffee just the way I like you—dark, addictive, and a little bad for my sleep schedule,” his baritone voice adds. “In a beautiful way.”

Will, you have done it again—taking me back with your sweet, sweet words.

And now I have no words as his eyes bore into mine—not in a way that was creepy, but in an attentive, waiting-for-me-to-say-something way.

Brown eyes, so calm, fixated on me, giving me all of their attention—and I couldn’t look away.

Say something, Grace.

“Are your eyes enchanted orbs? Because when I look into them, I want nothing more than to be lost in them forever.”

I shut my mouth as soon as I spoke, in embarrassment. It’s cute and hot when he does it, but I think I sound silly.

“Really?” he asks, as though he were unsure.

My voice is barely above a whisper, evidence of my shyness. “Yes.”

Will charms me without trying. I’m not complaining—on the contrary, I love it. I guess this is what we’re doing today:
