To my day-one ride-or-dies, you’re the real MVPs. 🙌🏽 I see you, I love you, and you’re the reason I keep going. 💖 And to those just joining the fam, welcome, welcome, welcome! 🥰 I LOVE LOVE LOVE you already. Now, before we dive into today’s story, I need a little favor.

Love in the Office: A Blessing and Femi Tale
Love. ❤️ Some of my favorite love stories start in the workplace. There’s just something about office romance that feels… surreal. ✨ Honestly, I wouldn’t mind experiencing one myself someday—hint hint, universe. 🌌 But let’s be real: office romance isn’t for the faint of heart. 💪🏽 While some people swear they couldn’t survive seeing their partner at work and at home, I say, bring it on!
Anyway, this isn’t about me (unfortunately 😅), so let’s talk about Blessing and Femi. They worked for the same company 🏢, though not in the same department and branch. Their paths crossed occasionally for work, but their story began the day Blessing walked into Femi’s section of the office.
Picture this:
Femi was at his desk, fully immersed in his work 💻, when Blessing strolled in. High heels clicking 👠, imaginary wind blowing through her hair 💨 (seriously, where did that breeze even come from?!), and Femi… Femi was a goner. 💘 He froze, fingers hovering over his keyboard as if any design he’d ever create could compare to the masterpiece that had just walked in.
Meanwhile, Blessing? She barely noticed the guy. 😬 Her first thought? “This man’s dress sense is non-existent.” 😅 Ouch. While Femi fell head over heels into a pool of enchantment 🥹, Blessing was like, “Nice guy, smart, but please, someone get him a stylist.” Her words, not mine (well maybe not the stylist part)—don’t come for me!
Still, despite her initial meh, they became friends. 🤝 And let’s be honest, his dress sense probably improved a little after meeting her. Friends do that for each other, right?
It took them four years of friendship before they finally started dating. FOUR. YEARS. 🤯 I don’t know if I have the patience for that, but I guess when it’s real, it’s real. 💕 Distance was a hurdle when they first started dating, but they made it work. Slowly, steadily, and naturally, their relationship blossomed into something beautiful. 🌹
From Friendship to Forever
When they finally got together, sparks flew. ✨ Femi describes the relationship as “crazy” because she was the first person to truly understand him. 🧠 Blessing, on the other hand, found their connection “new, strange, and different”—the good kind of different. 🌈 She’d finally met the person her heart was meant for after what I described as years of swimming in a pool of sharks. 🦈
Clearly, Femi fell first (and hard). 💘
Now let’s talk about the proposal. Y’all, this man proposed TWICE. 🤯💍
The first time? Pure spontaneity. 💡 They were at the cinema—probably watching a romantic movie 🎥—when Femi felt a rush of certainty. He dashed out to a nearby store, grabbed a dud ring, and proposed right there in the theater. No planning, no second-guessing, just raw, unfiltered love. 🥹 Blessing was stunned, but how could she say no to such a bold and heartfelt gesture? 💞
The second proposal was a more private, planned affair. 🌹 Equally beautiful, but less of a surprise. Three years later (soon to be four!), they’re still going strong. 💪🏽
What They Love About Each Other
Femi adores that Blessing is a phenomenal planner 📅, a natural problem solver 🧩, and, in his words, “a dangerous cook 🍳 and fine asf.” Blessing, on the other hand, loves his heart ❤️ and mind. 🧠 According to her, Femi is the sweetest and smartest man she’s ever met. 🥰
