Anywhoooo, how are y’all doing? Got any Valentine’s Day plans? 💝 Are you expecting gifts? 😏 Has anyone asked you to be their Valentine, or are you like me, just gonna be working through the day because you’ve got nothing else to do and no one to love up on? 😭😭 Welcome to the club, my honeys! You’re not alone. Let them lovers do their thing and let’s… I don’t know, survive this month? Not like we have a choice anyway, right? 😅
Sooooo, in the spirit of love, let’s get down to business. Today, we’re telling the story of the Adu’s. Another love story that’s one for the books 📖. Where did they meet? Well, thankfully NOT on that app! They met in CHURCH. Yes, we’re going back to the holy land, folks 🙏. And just so y’all know, they met in Ghana 🇬🇭. Agoo to my Ghanaian readers! 🗣 Did I get that right? That’s hello in Twi, right? 😅 I’m just glad y’all are here. Now, back to our lovers. A friend, Nii, introduced them. Shoutout to Nii for creating another beautiful love story for us to tell! 🙌
Now, hold up—before you think they just fell head over heels, nope! They didn’t rush things. They took their time, got to know each other, and really fell in love before they sealed the deal. Four YEARS it took before they even started dating. Damn, y’all have patience! 🙄 But hey, note this: THEY’RE married. I’m still single, though… cue the sad violin 🎻
First impressions? Well, she thought he was way too serious because she hardly ever saw him smile 😂. Meanwhile, he thought she was super jovial (duh! 😆) and had beautiful legs 😅. A bit random, but hey, it’s cute, right? And yes, ladies and gents, HE fell first. Obvs. He already liked her legs. 😂
Of course, they had a couple of hurdles along the way (what’s love without a lil’ drama, right?), but we’re not getting into that—some things gotta stay private, gossip mongers. 🤫 According to her, being with him has been an absolute blast. He’s her person, and they can learn from each other without any pride getting in the way. It’s been pure bliss. 🥰
Now, on May 3rd, 2023, in a very private, serene setting, Quincy asked Michelle to become his Ohemaa. 💍 (That’s Queen in Twi, y’all! I did my research, so you keep coming back! 😎). The proposal wasn’t exactly a surprise since they had already talked about marriage. Side note: Have the conversation before popping the question, people! Make sure you’re on the same page, or else… trust me, it’s awkward. 😬
Her favorite thing about him? She says, “My favorite thing about him is he’s annoyingly sweet, and I love his sense of humor.” 😍 I saw a post recently where a woman said she loved her man’s “dry jokes,” and let me tell you, this is one of those situations where love just works. 😂 I’ll see if i can link the tweet. It was too cute.

These two have been on this journey together for eight years—four as friends, three as a couple, and one as a married pair. 👫💍 I wish them all the best love has to offer. May their life together be long, fulfilling, and full of love, passion, and joy. ✨
