Dear Body,
I haven’t always spoken to you with kindness.
I’ve poked, prodded, judged you sometimes in silence, sometimes out loud.
But today, I write to say thank you.
You’ve carried me through heartbreak and healing,
through soft beds and hard seasons,
through dancing in mirrors and crying on bathroom floors.
You’ve never left.
Even when I did.
You stretch, you soften, you remember.
You breathe for me when I forget how.
You ache when I need to rest and glow when I start loving right.
Today, I return.
To softness. To gratitude.
To honouring the home I live in.
I love you even on the days I don’t know how to say it right.
I love you even with the love handles and the stretch marks.
I love you because you are mine. Because you stayed.
And that… that is everything.
With loving grace,
Noms

Hey my loves, i hope today wasn’t so rough on you. It’s a new week and for those that are workers or even students, the stress of just trying to survive and even follow our dreams sometimes makes us forget to care for our carrier. Sometimes we focus too much on ourselves that we forget to take care of ourselves. Yes i meant to say that. It’s okay to be a hardworker. It’s okay to dream. It’s okay to try to survive. But what’s not okay is forgetting to take care of the vessel that carries you through every day living. So this is my letter to you, do not forget to love your body as much as you love the dreams you’re chasing. Your body can tell when it’s being neglected and ultimately can choose to neglect you further. So love it for all it has been through and carried you through.
I hope you have a beautiful week.
Much Love,
Your favourite blogger,
Noms Baby.
